Tim Matthews leads a dedicated team with a passion for modern British cuisine and local produce. Founder and owner of the famous restaurant boat 'Rosamund The Fair' in Oxford, Tim, and his wife Sophia, are now dedicated to running The Carriage House Restaurant within the courtyard at Claydon House, Buckinghamshire.
Restaurant
Light lunches are available every day except Thursdays, between 12 noon and 3pm. On Sundays we offer a delicious 2 or 3 course 'Sunday Lunch Menu' in addition to our current lunchtime menu. Dinner for 10 guests or more is available every evening throughout the year subject to availability. We have Fine Dining on the 1st Saturday of the month, and Special Events on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Claydon Garden
When in season we use the fabulous fruits and vegetables from the Claydon Walled Kitchen Garden to create our restaurant lunchtime daily special.
The estate garden is a classic example of a walled country house garden, including a productive kitchen garden, selling produce in season
Local Produce
We source our meat from our local butcher in Padbury and game from Claydon estate when in season.
The Carriage House Restaurant is available for private hire, weddings, corporate entertaining, private parties and wine tasting any day of the week throughout the year
